Job Summary
The caregiver will assist a male client who uses a walker and has poor balance. The role includes providing mobility support, companionship, personal care assistance, and helping maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
The client may occasionally experience confusion, so the ideal candidate should be patient, attentive, compassionate, and comfortable providing reassurance and companionship.
Key Responsibilities
As a caregiver, your duties may include:
- Assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Helping with dressing and grooming
- Providing toileting and incontinence care
- Assisting with bathing and personal care
- Providing mobility and walking support
- Offering companionship and meaningful conversation
- Assisting with meal preparation
- Performing light housekeeping
- Helping with errands
- Providing transportation to appointments, outings, or social activities
- Monitoring the client’s overall well-being
- Reporting concerns when necessary
- Maintaining a professional, friendly, and supportive attitude
Qualifications
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- At least 3–6 months of professional or personal experience in home care, caregiving, or a related field
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver’s license
- Car insurance
- Reliable transportation
- Negative 2-Step TB Test or TB Quantiferon Gold Blood Test
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A compassionate, patient, and reliable personality
- A genuine passion for helping others
